Aaji’s recipes

Internet has an abundance of recipes from various bloggers from different parts of the world. But every family has their own unique way of making delicious halwa or spicy curries. This is just a glimpse of my aaji’s inheritance of recipes.

I grew up in a small town near Mumbai, Maharashtra. I was very close with my aaji (grandma). I used to play cards, listen to goshti (stories) and ate some mind-blowing food which will remain in my buds for a lifetime. I was never into cooking until after my marriage. Many of you might relate to this, I used to call up mom for every little detail, right from how much salt to put in to how to make modak. I have woken her up at 2 in the morning to ask for a recipe.

Now, miles away from home, I still can manage to cook a lot of recipes. Thanks to my hubby who puts up with whatever I cook 🙂

Let me introduce my take on some of the Indian recipes our family loves.
